Welcome to Kelsey Griffith Therapy, where I am dedicated to providing a safe space for your mental health journey. Begin a new chapter of healing and growth.

You are not a 'good girl.' You are not somebody's otherness.
This is not a dress rehearsal before a better kind of life.*

This is it. This is your life. Can I help you live a better kind of life now?
We enter therapy because we are hoping for better, hoping for relief, hoping for a companion and witness. I entered therapy for these reasons, and I am sure you are here for these as well. As a therapist, I see myself as a fellow traveler – meaning we’re in this human experience together.
I went back to school to get a degree later in my life because I wanted to help others who have sought care, like I did, with a clinician who is present, real, authentic, kind, generous, and understanding. These are traits I try to bring to every session. Building a relationship between us is the most important thing – always.
I focus my therapeutic care primarily with Women, LGBTQ+, those experiencing religious trauma syndrome (RTS) and Adolescents.
As women we face a unique circumstance of often being responsible for emotional labor, as well as experiencing the pains of patriarchy. Women are asked to hold so much with so little support. I strive to give you seen-ness and help you process and change the grief, burnout, exhaustion and worry that gnaws at us. I encourage reclaiming self and womanhood where it feels most right to you.
I am dedicated to providing a social mirror for those in LGBTQ+ communities, helping to make the "phantom" of one’s sexual identity real through witnessing and attunement. My work aims to combat the feelings of erasure and displacement and otherness.
In caring for Adolescents, I bring a deep understanding of the "under construction" brain. I help young people build competency, emotional nuance, and a healthy sense of autonomy while providing the necessary scaffolding for them to feel safe.
Working with those whose religious orthodoxy has led them to suffering and identity disconnection, I train under the model of Marlene Winell, Ph.D. and her Journey Free Network. I hope to help you restore the sense of loss and identity that religion has taken from you.
I believe in meaning-making and empowering you to write an authentic narrative.
I explore how early attachment shapes current relationships and personality.
I view personal struggles within the context of larger societal systems and work to remind clients that their future is dynamic and changeable.
As I leave you, reading this, I want to invite you to call or email, as one of my favorite poets Kate Baer says,“Pick up your heavy burdens and leave them at the gate. I will hold the door for you.”
I would be honored to hear your story.
Let’s connect to see if we are a good fit.
